Pit Orchestra for Singin' in the Rain
Mask & Mirror Community Theatre is producing the musical Singin’ in the Rain on two weekends in August. We will be using a full pit orchestra. We need trumpets, trombones, saxes, clarinets, a flute or two, auxiliary percussion, and strings. The next rehearsal will be held Thursday, June 18 from 7-9 PM in the band room at Tualatin High School. We would like to invite you to join us on that evening as we begin to prepare for the show.
Please email Sam Talluto (Conductor) if you are interested in playing in the pit.

Mask & Mirror is a true community theater. No one is paid, not the director, actors, conductor or musicians. Any profits from the show will be split evenly between the Tigard-Tualatin Schools Foundation and the Mask & Mirror building fund. We hope that you will join us just for the joy of supporting community. Also, it is a great score!
All rehearsals are from 7-9 PM in the band room at Tualatin High School. I have overbooked rehearsal time, hoping that we won’t need all of it, or can use some for sectionals.

It is a full 16 piece orchestration. I would expect the 4 reed parts to be covered by single instrument players (piccolo, 2 flutes, oboe, 4 clarinets, bass clarinet, 2 alto saxes, tenor sax, bari sax). Brass: 3 trumpets and 2 trombones. Strings: 2 violins,
viola, cello. We already have piano, bass, and drums covered, but there are many auxiliary percussion parts that need to be played.
The band room is located at the far end of the South Parking Lot of Tualatin High School. The auditorium is at the far end of the lot. The band room is in the building to the left of the Auditorium. After entering the building, you turn right and the band room is on the left.
