About Mask and Mirror
Established in March 2011 by a group of actors who had worked together in community theatres in Washington County, Mask & Mirror Community Theatre of Tigard and Tualatin, has had different focus than many other companies in the area.
Mask & Mirror is a unique community theatre group. Our goal is to develop a core of fully-involved members who come together regularly to create wonderful productions and activities in the southwest suburban area of Portland; specifically the communities of Tigard and Tualatin
Our goal to engage all those interested in theatre in its many forms: the artists, musicians, actors and directors; the producers and technical staff required to mount and run a show; the valued people who manage tickets, theater management and maintenance; the administrative and financial staff required to keep the organization sound; the publicists to garner name recognition and audience for our productions and activities; the benefactors who share their resources to keep our theatre alive and well; and those who love to come and be entertained.
Involvement in Mask & Mirror means more than coming together for a show and then going your own way. It means forming lasting artistic and social relationships through participation in community events, play reading, educational, social, and membership activities like our quarterly meetings.
Mask & Mirror is a dues-based organization. It is structured this way to encourage committed involvement, and of course to provide needed operating funds for our many activities. Basic membership dues are just $20 per year, $30 per couple. People who support the group in amounts in addition to these basic fees are also considered members and receive like benefits.
Mask & Mirror has Bylaws and elected Management Boards; see the related pages on these topics for additional information.
Mask & Mirror Community Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and member of the Oregon Community Theatre Alliance.
