The Green Room
by Peggy Glisson Performance Dates: 11/4/2011-11/20/2011 |
Summary
The Little Community Theatre is opening "The Untimely Death of Mr. Frumberg", an elaborately costumed Victorian farce with entrances and exits crucial to sustaining the action of the show. Unfortunately, so much is happening in the off-stage Green Room, the play is definitely suffering! The minimally talented diva is determined to impress everyone with her importance and her close relationship with the director, who seems terribly stressed and disorganized. This stress seems to swirl around the costumer, who is obviously angry and bitter. Something is going on between the ingenue and the inexperienced young male lead, and the stage manager is trying to get everyone on stage on cue. Even the seasoned veterans leading the show are victims of all the chaos. A secret marriage, a proposal, and a mysterious letter all play major roles in this comedy of errors.
This play was written by Peggy Glisson during her years of involvement with The Old Slocum House theatre company in Vancouver WA. It was first performed in 2004.
Directed by Gary Romans
Produced by Pat Romans
