Living Out
A dramedy by Lisa Loomer Performances: May 4-20 2018, Fri/Sat 7:30 pm, Sun 2:30 pm Location: Main Stage at Calvin Church, Tigard OR Directed by Linda Morris Talluto Produced by Linda Talluto & Jayne Furlong |
Summary
Living Out explores the complicated relationship between a Salvadoran nanny and the Anglo lawyer she works for. Both women are smart, hard-working mothers. Both want better lives for their children. The play reveals the shared humanity between them…and the differences wrought by race, class and Ana's illegal status. The play also exposes the prejudices and misconceptions between Anglos and Latinos, and is both outrageously funny and ultimately tragic.
